On this tour, we invite you on seven nights journeying together and exploring this historic and ancient part of France. The Ariége is a secret, kept tightly held, a region nestled in the central Pyrenees, and remains one of the most unspoiled regions of France. Known as the land of legends and traditions with thousands of stories to tell. There exists here both the grandness, legacy and history as well as the simplicity of country life that France is so well known for – from the fortified châteaux which we will stay in and visit, enormous prehistoric caves from 17,000 BC and WW2 escape routes over the mountains to local artisans continuing centuries old traditions in the modern world.

This tour travels through the Ariège region of France and invites you to discover the rich tapestry of its history, from medieval villages to grand châteaux, where centuries of tradition and craftsmanship continue to shape culture. Explore the age-old arts of French artisans, from handwoven textiles to intricate pottery, that preserve time-honored techniques passed down through generations.
